Why I built InterviewCare

Senior care agency owner · Los Angeles

I'm Jay Isaacson, and for the past two years I've run a senior care agency in Los Angeles.

When I audited our hiring process, the numbers stopped me cold: under 40% of caregiver applicants were showing up to their scheduled phone screen. My recruiter was blocking off half-hour interview slots, getting ghosted, and then spending the slot chasing the candidate to reschedule. Add the back-and-forth to book the screen in the first place, and the whole hiring pipeline was eating two-thirds of her day, every day.

The fix had to do three things: meet candidates the moment they apply — when their job-search mindset is hottest — let them interview on their own schedule any time of day, and run an interview built to my exact specifications, every time, with no off-script tangents. AI was the only way to do all three at once.

So I built InterviewCare for my own agency first. Now my recruiter spends her freed-up time on scheduling and lead follow-up — the work that actually grows the business. And our interview count has tripled!

Recruiting is half the battle in home care. I built InterviewCare to take that half off your plate. This industry has been stuck in the stone age for too long; it deserves the same kind of tech the rest of the world has had for years.
